Congress to start HP poll campaign on Aug 31

Guidelines were in place for broadcasting it live through virtual mediums in all the district headquarters of the state, he added.

Hamirpur(HP): Congress will launch its election campaign for the upcoming Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls from Wednesday.

District Congress President Rajendra Jar said Monday that Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Pradesh Congress party Organization-in-charge Rajiv Shukla will launch the state campaign from the State Congress Headquarters at Rajiv Bhawan, Shimla.

Guidelines were in place for broadcasting it live through virtual mediums in all the district headquarters of the state, he added.

The district president said the District Congress Committee, Hamirpur, will also take part in the program in its office and a big LCD will be installed for the live broadcast.

The Congress party is already in election mode in the district. Applications have been invited from interested candidates from different assembly constituencies till 5 pm Thursday.

The District Congress Committee will approve the names to the State Congress and will prepare a detailed fresh road plan.

The party unit will take into account the opinion of the people to assess position of the party, he added.
