Hyderabad Police Commissioner lauds Muslim Community for Preserving Ganga Jamuni Tahzeeb


Hyderabad: The Muslim community elders in Hyderabad have made a significant decision to postpone the #MiladUnNabi procession originally scheduled for September 28th. This choice aims to avoid a conflict with the final Ganesh immersion, also set for the same day. Instead, Muslim community has agreed to arrange the Milad Un Nabi procession on October 1st.

Commissioner of Police Hyderabad, CV Anand, praised this decision, highlighting its importance for the city’s progress and growth. He emphasized the need for all parties to exercise restraint in their celebrations and to respect each other’s sensitivities, thus preserving the city’s greatness.

He tweeted “Had a meeting with the elders of the Muslim community who took a historic decision to postpone the #Milad Un Nabi juloos( procession) on 28 th September as it was clashing with the Ganesh final immersion on the same day.We agreed to make the needed arrangements on 1 st October. This is a shining example of the Ganga Jamuni tehzeeb (culture)of our city and state and the harmony with which people are coexisting. This automatically leads to more development and growth. I appeal to all involved to exercise utmost restraint in their celebrations and respect the sensitivities of each other to protect the greatness of this #City”
