Yaum-e-Ashura is one of the major commemorative events observed by Muslims around the globe. Muharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar. It is one of the four sacred months of the Islamic lunar calendar. Muslims worldwide commemorate that tragic event of the Martyrdom of Imam Hussain, the grandson of the Prophet of Islam, occurred on the 10th of Muharram at Karbala.
Muslims also observe a voluntary fast on this day commemorating the Prophetic traditions.

Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Malik, Imam Ibne Tayimah, Syed Qutb Shaheed and many, who refuted to obey the corrupt regimes of the followers of Yazids. Following the footsteps of Imam Hussain we should also refuse to obey the corrupt dictatorial regimes and instead chose to die as martyrs.
