Karachi: The marriage of Fatima Bhutto, the granddaughter of former President of Pakistan Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, took place on Friday. After her marriage, she along with her husband Graham Byra reached the historic Mahadev Temple in Karachi where she performed Pooja Archana and other rituals.

According to the details, Fatima Bhutto, the granddaughter of Pakistan’s former president Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, visited a Hindu temple after her marriage. After this incident, mixed reactions are coming in from the netizens.

Fatima Bhutto is the niece of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto and daughter of Murtaza Bhutto. She is a writer and columnist by profession. Fatima Bhutto married Graham Byra (aka Gibran) on Friday. Graham Byra is said to be a Christian.

Following her wedding, Fatima Bhutto along with her husband went to the historic Mahadev Temple in Karachi on Sunday. After this, a controversy has erupted on social media. Earlier, in Fatima’s wedding, the country’s foreign minister and her cousin Bilawal Bhutto did not attend the ceremony.

According to media reports, Fatima’s husband, Graham Byra alias Gibran, is a Christian and an American.


Fatima was accompanied by her brother Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Jr. and Hindu leaders on the occasion of the temple visit. Fatima also offered milk to Mahadev in the temple.

Family history of Fatima Bhutto:

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was hanged by the then military dictator Zia-ul-Haq in April 1979 after a military coup.

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s elder daughter Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in December 2007 in Rawalpindi.

Benazir Bhutto’s brother Murtaza Bhutto was also assassinated in September 1996 in Clifton, a posh area of ​​Karachi. Murtaza Bhutto’s younger brother Shahnawaz Bhutto was found dead in his apartment in France in 1985.
