Hyderabad: ACB traps Circle Inspector, Sub-Inspector, and middleman accepting Rs 3 lakh bribe
The sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday caught red-handed the Circle Inspector (CI) and Sub-Inspector (SI) of Kushaiguda Police Station, along with a middleman, while they were accepting a bribe of Rs 3 lakh.
Hyderabad: The sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday caught red-handed the Circle Inspector (CI) and Sub-Inspector (SI) of Kushaiguda Police Station, along with a middleman, while they were accepting a bribe of Rs 3 lakh.
The accused officers, Circle Inspector Veeraswamy (AO-1) and Sub-Inspector Shafi (AO-2) were apprehended by the ACB when they demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 3 lakh through a middleman, Upendra (AO-3), from the complainant Bharat Reddy.
The bribe was allegedly taken to settle a land dispute issue, police sources said.
The ACB also conducted raids at the Kushaiguda Police Station and the residence of Circle Inspector Veeraswamy in Gurramguda.
Further investigation is underway, police added.
