Hyderabad: Woman alleges misbehaviour, assault by flat owner in Malakpet

Hyderabad: A 35-year-old divorcee was allegedly misbehaved by a man while showing her a flat for paying guest accommodation at Akbarbagh in New Malakpet.

According to the woman who lives on city outskirts with her parents, she received a message from the man offering PG accommodation, while looking for a paying guest accommodation in Malakpet through WhatsApp house rental groups.

She contacted the man who picked her up from Chandra Gardens area in Karmanghat and took her to a house in Anand Nagar area of Akbarbagh on May 19. “After taking me to the second floor flat at around 1.20 pm, he latched the door, snatched my phone and slapped me. He forced me to remove my dress. I resisted him and then he dropped me at Nalgonda crossroads on his bike at 4 pm.” Times of India quoted the woman as stating in her police complaint.

According to the report, the woman did not immediately inform anyone about the incident but on May 24, she informed her friend about it. Persuaded by her friend, she filed a complaint with Chaderghat police. Police registered a case against the man.

However, Chaderghat inspector P Sateesh informed that no injuries were found after medical examination of the complainant. And other tenants in the building also did not hear any noise nor saw anything. He added that they are probing the case.
