Jai Shri Ram slogan shouted at Hyderabad’s historic Makkah Masjid; 2 arrested

Hyderabad: Two boys who were allegedly shouting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ at the historic Makkah Masjid in Hyderabad were arrested and handed over to the police. 

This is the first time that such an incident has taken place within the premises of the mosque, which is one of the largest historic Muslim places of worship in the city.

According to sources, Amul and Smith, who are said to be from Maharashtra and Karnataka, had come to Makkah Masjid with another companion. After entering the premises of the mosque, they shouted ‘Jai Shree Ram’.

As soon as the incident was reported, the security personnel present in Makkah Masjid immediately caught them and  handed over to the Hussaini Alam police.

According to another version, the person did not shout the slogan but the ringtone of his phone was that of Jaishree Ram. 

The police is investigating the whole matter.
