AP Police avert youth’s suicide bid

Shocked over the message, his friends immediately sought the assistance of the police by sending SOS to the SP Ravindranath Babu through police command control room.

Kakinada: The timely action of police has averted a youth’s suicide bid and safely handed over to the agitated family members on Tuesday late night, police said.

The youth Kaki Ashok Kumar (27) of Pandalapaka village, Biccavolu mandal has left a suicide message in his face book account last night informing the friends that he was leaving the world vowing to mounting problems.

Shocked over the message, his friends immediately sought the assistance of the police by sending SOS to the SP Ravindranath Babu through police command control room. The SP has promptly responded and asked the DSP Ramachandrapuram and his team to locate the youth and rescue him .

The Anaparty circle Inspector J V Ramana and Biccavolu police station night beat constables Sk Babji and Ch Appanna kumar had launched a search for the youth in Pandalapaka village and finally traced him sitting along a canal bank on the village outskirts .

They gave him counseling and took along them to his house and handed over safely to the agitated mother. She thanked the SP Ravindranath babu and his entire police team for the prompt action and safely handing over her son .

In a similar incident, the Thimmapuram police also rescued a married woman- Gisala Durga (23) form Rayabhupalapatnam village,who was moving under suspicious circumstances lonely at Achampet junction last night .

On instructions from SHO Ramakrishna, the Lady ASI along with police constable Subbarao rushed to the place and on knowing from her that due to domestic problems she left the house ,they gave her counseling and brought to the police station.

Later she was handed over to her family members. The agitated Family members thanked the Thimmapuram police for their prompt action and saving the distressed woman.
