MANUU to hold International Conference on Urdu Journalism

Hyderabad: The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad is organizing a Three Days International Conference “Urdu Media: Past, Present and Future” on 13, 14 and 15th November, 2022 as part of Bicentenary Celebrations of Urdu Journalism.
According to Prof. Ehtesham Ahmed Khan, Dean, School of Mass Communication and Journalism, MANUU and Convenor Conference, the research papers to be presented in this International Conference will be related to the glorious past of Urdu Journalism and revolve around the role and contribution of Urdu Journalism in spreading and promoting peace and understanding in a global context.
“National and international research scholars / academicians / journalists / and other persons who wish to present research papers in this International Conference can submit Abstract of their papers in Urdu, Hindi or English”, he said.
Prof. Ehtesham said that the participants can submit their abstracts in about 500 words at kusbc200ic@gmail.com. The deadline for sending abstracts is 25 July 2022 and after scrutiny the confirmation will be send to participants by 20th August, 2022 to submit their complete ‘Research Paper. Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Head of the Department and conference coordinator said that the objective of the conference is aligned with the conference theme to figure out various measures, dimensions and way forward with regard to the contribution of Urdu Journalism.
“The conference designed by the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism intends to involve future researchers. The conference will provide a key platform for the development of researchers with international and diversified knowledge and experiences, enhancing the quality decision making of policymakers and promoting the highest utilization of research knowledge that revolves around the overall development of Urdu Press, Urdu Journalism and Urdu Journalists”, he added.
