Hyderabad: Restrictions imposed on the movement of heavy vehicles in the city to control traffic issues

Restrictions have been imposed on the entry, movement, and parking of inter-district, national permit trucks and lorries, local lorries, medium-sized goods-carrying vehicles, private buses, and slow-moving vehicles on the city's roads.

Hyderabad: After assessing the traffic situation in the city, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V. Srinivas Reddy has issued orders to impose restrictions on the free flow of traffic and reduce congestion by regulating the entry and movement of heavy vehicles within the jurisdiction of the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate.

Restrictions have been imposed on the entry, movement, and parking of inter-district, national permit trucks and lorries, local lorries, medium-sized goods-carrying vehicles, private buses, and slow-moving vehicles on the city’s roads.

However, these restrictions will not apply to public transport buses operated by state road transport corporations such as RTC, but a condition has been imposed to inform their schedules in advance.

Authorities have stated that action will be taken according to the law against vehicles found violating the notification issued by the Hyderabad Commissioner of Police.

The public, especially vehicle owners, have been requested to cooperate with the Hyderabad Traffic Police to ensure better traffic regulation and management.
