KTR inaugurates Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Lift Irrigation Scheme in Nirmal

KT Rama Rao inaugurated Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Lift Irrigation Scheme at Gundampelli village of Dilavarpur mandal in Nirmal district today.

Nirmal: Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao inaugurated Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Lift Irrigation Scheme (the 27th package of the ambitious Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project) at Gundampelli village of Dilavarpur mandal in Nirmal district on Wednesday.

KT Rama Rao along with Minister for Endowment Indrakaran Reddy switched on the motors and released water to the canals.

The Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Lift Scheme has been constructed at a cost of Rs.714 crores and it can irrigate 50,000 acres in 99 villages of Dilawarpur, Narsapur (G), Kuntala, Sarangapur, Nirmal, Lakshmana Chanda, Mamada and Sonu mandals of the Nirmal constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Indrakaran Reddy thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for granting funds for the completion of the project and said that the farmers in Nirmal constituency were now able to get water to their crops for three seasons in the year.
