Vice-President Unveils Postal Special Cover Commemorating the Late Justice Konda Madhav Reddy in Telangana

Speaking at the event, Vice President Dhankhar expressed pride in releasing the commemorative postal cover, recognizing the impeccable aesthetics in its design.

Hyderabad: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar marked the 100th Anniversary of the late Justice Konda Madhav Reddy by unveiling a special postal cover at AV College, Gagan Mahal, on Wednesday.

Late Justice Konda Madhav Reddy, who served as the Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh and Mumbai High Courts and Governor of Maharashtra, was honoured in the presence of esteemed guests including Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Governor of Telangana, Justice Alok Aradhe, Chief Justice, Telangana High Court, and PVS Reddy, Chief Postmaster General, Telangana, Hyderabad Circle.

Speaking at the event, Vice President Dhankhar expressed pride in releasing the commemorative postal cover, recognizing the impeccable aesthetics in its design. He applauded the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, for its timely initiative in celebrating the late Justice’s legacy.

The Vice-President highlighted the remarkable life and contributions of Justice Konda Madhav Reddy, describing him as a visionary who significantly influenced India’s justice and education system. Dhankhar emphasized Justice Reddy’s soft-spoken, contemplative, and fair demeanour, known for considering diverse perspectives and fostering an inclusive society.

Referencing his personal connection as a “Kisan Putra” (son of a farmer), Vice President Dhankhar praised Justice Reddy’s efforts to alleviate rural struggles through groundbreaking judgments. He acknowledged Justice Reddy’s commitment to service, justice, and compassion, ideals that should form the bedrock of an inclusive society and a vibrant democracy.

Dhankhar touched upon India’s transformative journey, citing achievements in the judicial, legislative, and executive domains. He commended the legal reforms, digitization initiatives, and landmark legislations contributing to the country’s progress. The Vice President emphasized India’s technological advancements and its pursuit of cutting-edge technologies.

Dhankhar envisioned a future where India’s soft power, encompassing Ayurvedic wisdom, spirituality, and yoga, would guide humanity. He paid homage to Justice Konda Madhav Reddy, highlighting his dedication to Bharat’s service, and expressed confidence that Reddy’s life and work would inspire future generations to build a better nation by 2047.
