Gopi, aiming to break the National Record set by Shivnath Singh in 1978, finished the marathon in 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 40 seconds, clinching the gold medal. Although just shy of his personal best of 2 hours, 13 minutes, and 39 seconds achieved in 2022, his performance was commendable.
