PM celebrates Rakhi with young girls

In a video of the event, the girls were seen tying rakhis on Modi's wrist. The Prime Minister also showered blessings on the little girls.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday celebrated Rakshabandhan with young girls at his residence.

This was a special Raksha Bandhan celebration as the daughters of staff working at the PMO, including sweepers, peons, gardeners, drivers brought beautiful rakhis to celebrate with the prime minister, official sources said.

In a video of the event, the girls were seen tying rakhis on Modi’s wrist. The Prime Minister also showered blessings on the little girls.

Extended greetings to the countrymen on the occasion, the PM tweeted: “Greetings to everyone on the special occasion of Raksha Bandhan.”
