He has taken oath along with 11 cabinet ministers, after which the new government has been formed in Telangana. Revanth Reddy also signed the file for the implementation of the Congress’s 6 guarantees as soon as he took oath as the Chief Minister as promised in the election manifesto of the Congress party.

There is no doubt that the promise of these 6 guarantees played an important role in the Congress party getting power in Telangana. The Chief Minister has also signed the file for their implementation, but so far no one knows when the implementation of these 6 guarantees will begin and whether the benefit of these will be available to every citizen and every family of Telangana?

It has been said that not only 6 promises have been made under the 6 guarantees, but more than one promise has been made under each guarantee and government officials have started moving for the implementation of these promises.

Before knowing who will benefit from the implementation of these promises, let us know, what promises have been made to the public under the 6 guarantees?

1. Mahalakshmi Guarantee:

Under this guarantee, 3 promises have been made to women. The first promise is to provide Rs 2500 per month to every woman, the second promise is to provide a cooking gas cylinder for just Rs 500 and the third promise is to provide free travel to women in RTC buses.

2. Rythu Bhrosa Guarantee:

Under this guarantee, farmers and tenant farmers will be paid Rs 15,000 annually. Agricultural laborers will be paid Rs 12,000 and a bonus of Rs 500 on paddy crop.

3. Gruha Jyothi Guarantee:

Under this guarantee, 200 units of free electricity will be provided to every household in Telangana.

4. Indiramma Indlu Guarantee:

Under this guarantee, a piece of land will be given to all families who don’t have own house. Rs. 5 Lakh will be paid for the construction of the house on the land provided. A plot of 250 square yards for each of the Telangana freedom fighters.

5. Yuva Vikasam Guarantee:

Under this guarantee, a Vidya Bharosa card worth of Rs 5 lakh will be provided to the students of Telangana. Establishment of a Telangana International School in every mandal of the state.

6. Cheyuta Guarantee:

Under this guarantee, eligible individuals (such as elderly, widows, disabled, etc.) will be provided with a monthly pension of Rs 4000 and a Rajiv Arogyasri insurance of Rs 10 lakh to every senior citizen.

Of all these guarantees, the most attractive guarantee is Mahalakshmi Guarantee and Gruha Jyothi Guarantee, under which women will be provided monthly financial assistance, subsidized gas cylinders, free travel facility for women in RTC buses and 200 units of free electricity to every household.

It is no secret that everyone is worried about the rising prices of cooking gas cylinders. In such a situation, the promise of providing the cylinder for only Rs 500 was very attractive. The central government now transfers only Rs 40 to your bank account in the name of subsidy, which many people see as alms.

However, it remains to be seen whether the Revanth Reddy government will provide cylinders at Rs 500 per connection or will it apply the condition of white ration card for this? Will the government also give concessions to those who migrate from other states? Will the middle class be included in it or not? This will be known only after the guidelines are issued.

In the case of other promises, the government has not yet issued any clarification whether the benefit of these will be available to every citizen of the state, or will the government only provide benefits to families with white ration cards and families living below the poverty line, because such schemes are generally made only for families living below the poverty line.

In Karnataka too, the Congress party is implementing similar guarantees. Under the Gruha Lakshmi scheme, women are given Rs 2000 per month, but only those with white ration cards are given this amount.

It is possible that the implementation of these guarantees will begin from the new year (January 1) or the new financial year (April 1) in Telangana.
