TSRTC Workers Union Backs Congress in Upcoming Elections


Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation workers unions Joint Action Committee (JAC) surprised the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) by announcing its support for the Congress in the forthcoming Assembly elections, on November 27.

JAC president Ashwathama Reddy, formerly associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and slated to contest from Wanaparthy constituency, resigned on November 22.

The elections in Telangana are set for November 30, with the counting scheduled for December 3.
