Arab, Muslim States to discuss situation in Gaza Strip

Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani will not be able to go to Russia as part of the group.

Doha: The delegation from the contact group of seven Arab and Muslim countries will focus only on the situation around the Gaza Strip during a visit to Russia, other topics will not be touched upon, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Mohammed Al-Ansari told Sputnik on Tuesday.

“Negotiations in Russia will focus only on topics related to the situation in the Gaza Strip. Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani will not be able to go to Russia as part of the group, he is in Doha in connection with Arab affairs, but, God willing, he will be present during future visits,” the diplomat said.

The delegation will be led by the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, Faisal bin Farhan, he added.
