Hyderabad: In an unfortunate incident, a 25-year-old pregnant woman allegedly committed suicide in her house at Shaheen Nagar in Balapur on Tuesday night.
In a suicide note she disclosed that she resorted to suicide due to harassment from her husband and in-laws.
About one-and-a-half years ago, Firdous Ansari was married to Sultan Patel, a realtor from Fateh Darwaza. She was now three months pregnant.
Police said that Firdous was allegedly being harassed by her husband and in-laws. Patel allegedly threatened to kill her brandishing a gun and beat her resulting in abortions twice earlier. After conceiving again, Ansari came to stay with her parents a month ago. However, Patel’s harassment continued.
On Wednesday morning, she was found hanging in her bedroom. Telangana Today reported.
The Balapur police are investigating the case.
