The arrested teacher, Mukhsin Rahman Khan, is believed to be the main perpetrator behind the brutal killing of the student, Rabijul Hussain, as an act of revenge.

Cachar SP stated, “A few days ago, Mukhsin Rahman Khan had physically assaulted Rabijul for allegedly eloping from the madrasa. As a result, he was publicly asked to apologize.” This incident prompted Rabijul’s parents to file a complaint with the Madrasa’s Head Cleric, leading to the teacher being instructed to write an apology.

The accused, Hafiz Mouskin Rahman Khan, became infuriated by this and on Sunday night, took advantage of the sleeping environment in the Madrasa. He used a sharp weapon to fatally slash the throat of 12-year-old Rojimul Hussain Laskar before fleeing the scene, according to police reports.

Subsequently, the police arrested the accused teacher and initiated legal proceedings against him.

The lifeless, beheaded body of the 12-year-old student was discovered on the morning of August 13 in a hostel room at the Darus Salam Hafizia Madrasa in Dholai. The unfortunate incident occurred after the student had dinner the previous night and retired to his room to sleep. The body was found by a madrasa teacher who went to wake him up the next morning. Immediate notification was given to Dholai police upon the discovery.
