M.K.Stalin today handed over the National Flag to senior Congress

leader and Wayanad Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi, marking the launch

of the 3,720 km, 150-day long Bharat Jodo Yatra by the Congress party.

Stalin, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Chhattisgarh Chief

Minister Bhupesh Baghel jointly handed over the National Flag to Rahul

at the Mahatma Gandhi Mandapam after which Rahul addressed a public

rally.

Before commencing the Yatra, Rahul Gandhi visited the memorials of

Vivekananda and Saint Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar and Kamaraj.

Going on a boat ride, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited the statue

of Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar and the memorial of Swami Vivekananda,

ahead of the launch of his nationwide campaign Bharat Jodo Yatra.

He was accompanied by the president of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee

K.S. Alagiri and Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader K. Selvaperunthagai

and other leaders.
