One dead, several injured in Telangana as bus overturns on NH-44

Jogulamba Gadwal: A woman lost her life and ten sustained injuries when a private travel bus lost control, overturned, and caught fire on National Highway-44 near Beechupally in this district after midnight on Friday.

The bus, carrying approximately 32 passengers, was en route from Hyderabad to Chittoor when the accident occurred, police said.

Upon receiving information, police and fire tenders rushed to the scene and successfully extinguished the flames.

Unfortunately, the bus was entirely engulfed in the fire.

The injured victims have been admitted to the Government Hospital, Kurnool, for necessary medical treatment.

A case has been registered, and an investigation is currently underway, the police added.
