Complete Vaccination within 3 Months in Telangana: HC

About 60 per cent of the people in Telangana have been vaccinated first dose while 38 per cent took the second dose while 71 people have been diagnosed with covid in educational institutions so far.

Hyderabad: The High Court of Telangana has directed the State government to complete the vaccination process in the state within the next three months. 

The High Court took up the hearing on the Covid situation in the state and said that the staff of the educational institutions is also required to complete the vaccination within two months. It further directed to increase the number of RT-PCR exams in the state. 

The High Court has expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in the action plan and questioned the Director Public Health Dr. G. Srinivas Rao why it was not submitted the report despite being ordered twice.

The High Court commented that it would face consequences if the court orders were not enforced.  The government has been directed to formulate the Color Coded Graded Response (CCGRA) by September 30. The High Court has lashed out at the delay in including the Corona drugs in the emergency. 

The High Court directed the Central government to include it in the emergency list by October 31. The next hearing was adjourned to October 4.

All Measures taken to counter the third Wave: Director Public Health

Director of Public Health Dr. G. Srinivas Rao submitted a report to the High Court on the corona condition in the State. According to the report, 2.58 crore corona tests have been conducted in the state so far. As of 19th of this month 6,63,450 cases have been registered. The positivity rate has dropped to 0.51 per cent in the last two months. 

The state has so far vaccinated 2.20 crore doses. 10.07 lakh people were vaccinated through 180 mobile vaccination centers. 25.10 lakh people have been vaccinated through a special drive till the 16th of this month. 97 per cent of vaccinations were completed within the GHMC range.
