Four killed, 5 hurt as car collides with auto in AP

Four persons were killed, and five others injured when a car collided with an autorickshaw at Devarajugattu village in Peddaraveedu mandal of Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh on Friday.

Police said that two persons travelling in the car and two persons travelling in the autorickshaw were killed in the accident occurred on Amaravati-Anantapur Highway.

The deceased were identified as Sheik Babu (29) -Autorickshaw driver, A Abhinay (10), Raya Venkateswara Rao (52), Raya Nageswara Rao (48). Viewer Discretion Advised: Graphic Content Ahead In The Video.

Police said that two of the deceased Raya Venkateswara Rao and Raya Nageswara Rao were going to their native village in Guntur district after attending a housewarming function at Komarolu village in Prakasam district. Both were killed on the spot in the accident.

One of the siblings Abhinay who was travelling in the autorickshaw was killed while his elder brother Ratnateja critically injured in the accident.

Both the siblings went to Markapuram to buy clothes to celebrate the Christmas festival and when they are returning to their native village the accident took place.

Deputy Superintendent of Police G Veerarathava Reddy visited the scene of the accident. The injured were admitted to the RIMS hospital here.
