In a statement, he said they were welcoming the government’s decision to implement the free bus facility for women as part of the promises made by the Congress party.

He said the BRS government had worked for their economic development by taking up several initiatives, including a pension of Rs 4016 per month like nowhere else in the country and to help the disabled people, who are lagging behind the rest of the society.

He said there were nearly six lakh disabled pension beneficiaries in Telangana State, who already has the bus pass facility with 50% subsidy and added that if they are provided with the free bus facility, the disabled would have the opportunity to grow further.

He recalled that the Congress party had also mentioned in its election manifesto that it would provide free bus facility to the differently-abled people, including women. He said extension of the free bus facility would not have a big burden on the government.

He said the State government should think in a humane way and implement the free bus facility for women as well as the disabled as promised by the Congress party.
