Maharashtra to provide affordable housing: CM

Shinde and his deputy Devendra Fadnavis launched the lottery of 5,211 houses to be constructed on behalf of Pune Mandal MHADA.

Mumbai: Maharashtra will fulfill the dreams of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by providing affordable housing to the common people, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced on Thursday.
“Our government is committed to provide residences and affordable houses to common people … which is also dream of our Prime Minister,” he said.
Shinde and his deputy Devendra Fadnavis launched the lottery of 5,211 houses to be constructed on behalf of Pune Mandal MHADA.

He said more than 90,000 citizens applied for the flats.
He said 3,000 houses were ready and will be distributed in the next one-and-a-half months while the rest of the flats will be completed and distributed in one-and-a-half years.
“Owning a house is the dream of every citizen. To fulfill this dream, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the concept of affordable housing for all.”
