No-trust voting in Pakistan National Assembly today evening

Islamabad: Voting on the no-confidence motion tabled in the National Assembly of Pakistan against Prime Minister Imran Khan is likely to be held after 8 pm (local time) on Saturday.

Voting on the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan was the fourth item on the day’s agenda, for which the opposition came out in full force, but very few members of the treasury benches were in attendance.

Imran Khan stayed away from the National Assembly that is set to vote on a no-trust resolution passed by the opposition after many a drama, including the top court in the country being forced to step in and order the motion be conducted before April 9 evening ends.

On March 28, Leader of Opposition Shehbaz Sharif had tabled the motion in NA.

There is heightened security outside the house perimeters and across the city, as there is also prohibition order against any kind of congregation.
