HPS wins big; titled as champions

HPS Boys registered their victory against Future Kids School with a score of 2-1. Affan and Eshaan led the charge as each produced a goal.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Public School (HPS) was given the title of champions in football and badminton tournaments at the CISCE Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Regional Sports and Games Tournaments.

The event for the boys under-14 football tournament was held at NASR Boys School, Gachibowli. HPS Boys registered their victory against Future Kids School with a score of 2-1. Affan and Eshaan led the charge as each produced a goal.

In the semi finals, the HPS Boys won against Sujatha School by a whopping score of 4-1 as Uzair, Affan, Eshaan and Abhiram made a goal each. Previously, in the quarterfinals International School plainly lost to the HPS Boys with a 5-0 margin as Affan and Uzair score a pair of goals and one by Eshaan.

Another HPS star, Rishi scored a hat-trick and secured a win for his team against Loyola School in the under-19 football final match.

Prior to the finals the HPS Boys defeated Future Kids School with a score of 2-0, through the goals made by Wahaj and Sritej. The laters also won against NASR School in the quarterfinals as Eshaan, Sritej and Mustafa contributed to the victory.

Badminton:

In the under-14 Badminton event Charan Vudugula a student of HPS won the game with a 30-29 points over G.V. Chaitanya, a student of Future Kids School. To reach the finals, Charan defeated S. Nehal of Timpany (Vizag) in the quarterfinals and Dhruv Lal of Timpany in the semifinals.

The third place was taken by Shashank Yadav of HPS who lost to G. V. Chaitanya in the semifinals.

The HPS also won the under-14 team championship by defeating Future Kids School as they scored 2-1.
