Various organisations organised yoga sessions throughout the state, with yoga experts emphasizing the importance of practising yoga for maintaining optimal mental and physical well-being.

The International Yoga Day event held at the Cricket Stadium in Siddipet was graced by the presence of Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao, who served as the chief guest.

In his address, he expressed his belief that a healthy Telangana can be achieved if people can avoid frequent visits to hospitals.

Rao emphasised that simply constructing large hospitals does not define Telangana’s success.

Instead, he urged everyone to dedicate at least one hour daily to prioritize their health.

The minister recommended engaging in yoga and pranayama exercises as a means to lead a

better life.

Furthermore, he highlighted that yoga has now become an integral part of everyday life, and people of all ages should incorporate it into their routine.

Rao addressed the misconception that some individuals only turn to yoga after experiencing health issues and encouraged proactive engagement with yoga for overall well-being.
