Riyadh: Saudi Arabian government declared its support for United States’ efforts to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.
Saudi government also thanked United States for supporting the kingdom defending its territory against attacks by Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi group. A statement was issued in this connection after a cabinet meeting. Reuters reported citing state news agency SPA.
Amid growing western fears about Tehran’s accelerating nuclear advances, talks on a new nuclear accord with Iran are underway in Vienna. Western powers see it as irreversible unless a deal is struck soon.
