British Queen under medical supervision amid health concerns

"Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision," Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

London: Queen Elizabeth II is under medical supervision at Balmoral, Scotland, after doctors became concerned for her health, Buckingham Palace said on Thursday.

“Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

“The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral,” it added.

Prince Charles, his wife Camilla and Prince William are travelling to Balmoral, Clarence House and Kensington Palace said.

The 96-year-old monarch postponed her Privy Council meeting last night after being advised by doctors to rest.

On Tuesday, the Queen appointed Liz Truss as Britain’s new prime minister at Balmoral, for the first time in her 70-year reign, after accepting the resignation of outgoing Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
