Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Sridhar Babu along with Panchayat Raj Minister Seethakka and other Congress leaders found fault with the BRS leaders for questioning the Congress government which didn’t complete even 35 days of its office in Telangana and alleged that the BRS leaders are becoming a laughingstock in the eye of people.

“The BRS government made Telangana a debt-ridden State after being in power for 3,550 days, but the BRS leaders are unable to maintain calm for some time towards the new government which didn’t complete even 35 days of its office,” Sridhar Babu said.

Condemning the release of a booklet titled ‘Congress 420 assurances by the BRS party, the Minister said the BRS leaders were in frustration due to defeat in the Assembly elections and were unable to digest the success of Congress government which has started implementing two major guarantees within 48 hours of forming the government.

“It would have been better if the BRS leaders had recalled their 2014 and 2018 election manifesto promises, including Dalit CM, three acres land to Dalits, 12 percent Muslim reservation and KG PG free education. In addition to this, the BRS leaders failed to achieve the promises mentioned in the AP Reorganization Act despite having worked with BJP government at the Centre,” he pointed out.

Sridhar Babu said the BRS leaders are leveling baseless remarks against the Congress government realising the facts that their party will not win even a single seat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
