KCR’s speech tone reflects mentally defeated leader: Uttam

However, the people have seen through these empty promises and have made it clear that they will not support the BRS for a third term, he said.

Hyderabad: Congress MP and Huzurnagar candidate Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy asserted on Thursday that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has mentally conceded defeat in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Addressing the media during his election campaign in Huzurnagar, Reddy stated that KCR has resorted to every tactic imaginable to sway voters. He said KCR listed out his government’s achievements, attempted to cover up failures with excuses, blamed local MLAs for non-performance, and even made fresh promises under the guise of KCR Bharosa and other schemes.

However, the people have seen through these empty promises and have made it clear that they will not support the BRS for a third term, he said.

Reddy further alleged that KCR has tried to instill fear among voters by claiming that development will halt if they don’t vote for the BRS. Having exhausted all his options, KCR has mentally prepared for a humiliating defeat, Reddy said, adding that CM KCR’s tone has completely changed, resembling that of a defeated general.

He expressed confidence that the people’s response across Telangana is overwhelmingly in favor of the Congress party, which is poised to win more than 80 seats, including Huzurnagar and Kodad.

Reddy emphasized that the upcoming elections will be decisive for Telangana, as they will mark the end of KCR and his family’s dictatorial rule. Under a Congress government, the focus will once again shift to development and welfare, he said.

Highlighting the contractor-raj that plagued Telangana during the first 10 years of its formation, Reddy asserted that the next Congress government will usher in true ‘Janata Raj’. He pledged that the Congress government would not only fulfill all the assurances made to the people through various declarations and the manifesto but also establish a robust grievance redressal mechanism across the state.

He pointed out that the BRS government has functioned without a secretariat for almost eight out of nine and a half years. Common people have been denied access to Pragathi Bhavan, and other ministers have no permanent office address. This system will be completely overhauled under a Congress government, with all leaders remaining accessible to the people on a 24×7 basis, he assured.

The Congress leader urged the people to remain vigilant until the polling day and not be swayed by cash, liquor, or other inducements. He said that the BRS will resort to these tactics as a last resort to attract voters. However, he expressed confidence that the people will prioritize their and their children’s future over selling their votes to the BRS.
