The victims, residents of Medigadda Thanda, Nanthadram, and B B Nagar, were returning to their villages after a routine shopping trip to a weekly market in Balanagar.

The collision occurred as the DCM van struck the autorickshaw, leading to a devastating accident, as reported by the police.

Following the collision, a large crowd gathered at the scene, their anger escalating. The enraged mob set the DCM van on fire, and protests ensued, resulting in a complete standstill on both sides of National Highway 44. The fiery protest caused a severe traffic jam, with vehicles coming to a halt.

Upon receiving the information, the police swiftly arrived at the location, registering a case and initiating further investigations into the incident. However, they encountered challenges in clearing the highway due to the angry mob’s resistance.
