Senior Advocate, Muslim Personal Law Board Secretary Zafaryab Jilani passes away

New Delhi: Senior Advocate and All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) secretary Zafaryab Jilani passed away in Lucknow this morning. He was 73.

 Jilani’s son Nazam Zafaryab said that his father breathed his last at Nashad Hospital in Lucknow at around 11.50 am. He had been suffering from ill health for a long time. 

Jilani is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.

Jilani had argued in the Ram Janmabhoomi case in the Supreme Court and was also the Additional Advocate General of Uttar Pradesh.
