Aryan Khan Case: Why Samir Wankhede is Horrified?

Even Samir Wankhede is trying to use religion in his defense. Sameer says he belongs to a secular family. His father is Hindu while his mother is a Muslim.

Hyderabad: The arrest of Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and the ongoing case in the court has suddenly taken a new turn after which the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) went in troubled water. The NCB is a central investigative body that monitors drug trafficking and use across the country.

Arrest of Aryan Khan:

The 23-year-old son of King Khan was detained by the NCB after raiding a Cruise Ship off the coast of Mumbai. There was a high profile party going on the ship. This event was organized on October 3. Aryan Khan was first detained for questioning and later arrested. He has been in Arthur Road Jail ever since.

Why Aryan hasn’t been granted bail yet:

A bail application was filed on October 8 for Aryan Khan’s. However, the NDPS magistrate’s court rejected Aryan’s plea, saying the matter did not fall within its jurisdiction. A bail application was then filed in the NCB’s special court, where on October 20, Shah Rukh’s son was denied bail. The bail application is now set to be heard in the Bombay High Court on October 26.

Controversies:

The case has been embroiled in controversy since the beginning. The discussion about the presence of an unrelated person in the NCB office started at the time of Aryan’s arrest. The man’s name is Kiran Gosavi. He disappeared as soon as the media and Maharashtra police focused on this matter. Nawab Malik, spokesman for the ruling ally in Maharashtra NCP and a state minister, has raised a number of questions, which have left the NCB worried. NCB officials are trying to justify their position by making various excuses.

NCB Zonal Head:

Sameer Wankhede is the NCB Zonal Head. He is in charge of the Maharashtra zone and for the past one year he has been committed to eradicating drugs in Bollywood. However, on some occasions, he have made mistakes that have exposed the flaws in the Aryan case to political leaders, especially Nawab Malik, who has announced to expose Sameer Wankhede. The case of Sushant Singh Rajput was also investigated by Sameer Wankhede. Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was arrested in the case and was released on bail a month later.

NCP leader Nawab Malik has held several press conferences and asked questions directly to Sameer Wankhede but he has so far failed to give a proper answer. He just calls himself honest official and say he is just doing his duty. The case of heroin worth thousands of crores of rupees seized at Mundra port in Gujarat is also shrouded in mystery and people are repeatedly asking on social media why the matter is not being investigated in detail. Why is only 6 gram of heroin found in Aryan Khan’s case got attention from NCB and media?

New twist in the case:

The case took a new turn on Sunday when a witness took a sudden U-turn and put NCB zonal head Sameer Wankhede in a state of suspicion, after which Sameer Wankhede is terrified. The witness’s name is Prabhakar Sail and he was present with Sameer Wankhede and Kiran Gosavi at the time of the raid. Prabhakar claimed the whole matter is linked to bribery.

He says that Aryan was arrested for extorting Rs 25 Crore from Shah Rukh Khan. He saw and heard Kiran Gosavi talking to a man named Sam D’Souza and Shah Rukh Khan’s manager Pooja Dadlani in which a deal of Rs 25 Crore was being negotiated. The deal then struck at Rs 18 crore, after which Kiran Gosavi says Rs 8 crore will have to be paid to Sameer Wankhede. Prabhakar also said that he himself had delivered two bags full of cash to Sam D’Souza, which contained Rs 36 Lakhs.

After these revelations of Prabhakar, the NCB is sweating. In particular, the condition of Sameer Wankhede has become suspicious. On the other hand, apart from Nawab Malik, senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has been attacking the NCB and Sameer Wankhede through press conferences and social media. Sanjay Raut has shared a video on his Twitter handle in which it can be seen that Kiran Gosavi is sitting with Aryan Khan in the NCB office and puts his phone close to Aryan’s mouth and Aryan says something in the phone.

On the other hand, Nawab Malik has also accused Sameer Wankhede of forgery and tweeted his birth certificate in which some corrections were done. In a tweet, he said that Sameer Wankhede’s fictitious role starts from here.

In these circumstances, Samir Wankhede finds it very difficult to defend himself. They do not know what to do. Different people are talking differently on social media. Some people are saying that Samir may have gone too far in pleasing his political masters and now the matter is getting out of his hands. Sameer Wankhede is also afraid of being arrested by the Maharashtra police. He has written to the Mumbai Police Commissioner requesting him to be protected from arrest.

Even Samir Wankhede is trying to use religion in his defense. Sameer says he belongs to a secular family. His father is Hindu while his mother is a Muslim. In fact, he is not able to digest or tolerate Nawab Malik’s tweets. In defense of Nawab Malik’s tweets, he is dragging his own family and even re-tweeting patriotic tweets by his supporters.

It remains to be seen when and what steps the Mumbai Police will take in this regard. Mumbai Police may decide its course on October 26 after the Bombay High Court decision on Aryan’s bail petition.
