Muslim man brings ‘Kanwar’ to honour Lord Shiva; Here’s why

Saleem’s son Zahid was mentally ill. According to him, he had prayed to Lord Shiva for the better health of his son and his prayers were answered by the deity.

Meerut: A Muslim man named Saleem said his prayers were answered by Baba Bholenath (Lord Shiva) after his son recovered from illness. Saleem, a resident of Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh travelled to Haridwar, which is regarded as holy city by Hindus, to bring Kanwar to honour the deity.

Local residents in Kaili village under Kharkhoda block of Meerut welcomed Saleem at Jaharveer Temple.

Saleem’s son Zahid was mentally ill. According to him, he had prayed to Lord Shiva for the better health of his son and his prayers were answered by the deity.

Saleem went on Kanwar journey to Haridwar along with another village resident Dharmendra Kumar. Times Now reported with reference to Hindi daily Dainik Jagran.
