Hyderabad: The funeral of Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, the managing editor of  Siasat Daily, took place this morning at the Aakhirat Manzil on Darussalam Road. Thousands gathered to bid their final farewells to Mr. Khan, with tearful eyes and heavy hearts.

The funeral prayer, attended by leading political, social, and religious figures, was conducted at Shaahi Masjid Baagh e Aammah (Public Garden).

Mr. Khan’s sudden demise on Monday evening, due to a heart attack in the Bowepally area of Hyderabad, shocked many. He was en route to attend the last rites of balladeer Gaddar.

Notable personalities, including Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, home minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, and municipal administration minister K.T. Rama Rao, expressed their condolences.

A Legacy of Service and Commitment:

Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, son of Mr. Muhammad Bashiruddin Ali Khan, passed away at the age of 63. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Mr. Asghar Ali Khan and Mr. Fakhar Ali Khan. Over the past three decades, he made significant contributions in various realms – social, national, and academic.

Under the guidance of late Mr. Abid Ali Khan and Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, he played a crucial role in promoting education, especially among the underprivileged Muslim community. His dedication was instrumental in the Separate Telangana Movement. As the Director of Siasat Technologies Limited and Secretary of Abid Ali Khan Educational Trust, Literary Trust, and Siasat Millat Fund, his impact was profound.

Grief Beyond Borders:

News of Mr. Khan’s passing reverberated across India and even abroad, deeply affecting individuals involved in social, political, religious, and literary circles. People called the editor of daily newspaper Mr. Zahid Ali Khan and news editor Mr. Aamir Ali Khan and condoled his sudden death. The bereaved family received condolences from numerous personalities, including President Majlis and Member of Parliament Hyderabad Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi, Telangana PCC president Revant Reddy, and former minister Muhammad Ali Shabbir.

Today, Hyderabad bids farewell to a visionary, a man whose legacy extended far beyond ink and paper. Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan’s impact on society, his dedication to education, and his commitment to his community will forever be remembered and celebrated. As his mortal remains were laid to rest, the collective grief of thousands served as a testament to the mark he left on the world.
