Jubilee Hills Roadshow: CM Revanth Reddy Tears Into KCR, BJP; Recalls 2007 PJR Betrayal

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched a scathing attack on the BRS and BJP during a massive corner meeting at Vengalrao Nagar in Jubilee Hills as part of the by-election campaign.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched a scathing attack on the BRS and BJP during a massive corner meeting at Vengalrao Nagar in Jubilee Hills as part of the by-election campaign. Addressing a large crowd, he accused both parties of deceiving the people of Telangana and obstructing the state’s progress for over a decade.

Revanth Reddy reminded voters of the 2007 episode when the late PJR, known as the “people’s leader,” passed away. “Even the BJP and TDP respected PJR’s legacy and wanted his family to be elected unopposed. But who broke that tradition? It was KCR and his TRS who fielded a candidate against the PJR family. The same people now talk about values and sympathy,” he said.

The Chief Minister said the same political forces that once betrayed PJR’s family were now seeking sympathy votes in Jubilee Hills. “Those who opposed PJR’s family have no moral right to ask for sympathy today,” he remarked.

Taking on Union Minister Kishan Reddy, Revanth said, “He has never visited our streets but speaks shamelessly about ‘carpet bombing’ in Jubilee Hills. Instead of contributing to Hyderabad’s growth, he is busy blocking the city’s progress.” He alleged that the BJP and BRS share a “Fevicol bond,” working together to halt Congress-led development projects such as the Metro Rail expansion and Musi River rejuvenation.

Revanth accused the previous BRS regime of neglecting the Jubilee Hills constituency and ignoring people’s problems. “For ten years, neither KCR nor his ministers stepped foot here. Now they come wearing masks, pretending to care about the poor,” he said.

Highlighting Congress’s initiatives, he stated that the government had introduced welfare schemes like free RTC bus travel for women, 200 units of free power, and ration benefits. “If the BRS returns, these schemes will stop. They will snatch away your rice, your free travel, and your ration cards,” he warned.

The Chief Minister appealed to voters to elect Congress candidate Naveen Yadav, describing him as a strong and youth-driven leader committed to development. “Give me one strong right hand from Jubilee Hills, and I will take responsibility for solving your problems,” he said, assuring that Minister Mohammed Azharuddin and MLA candidate Naveen Yadav would work together to ensure the constituency’s progress.

Revanth added, “Those who protected drug dealers and criminals call Naveen Yadav a rowdy? Think for yourselves who truly stands by the poor and who has looted Telangana for ten years.”

He ended his speech with a powerful appeal — “Elect Naveen Yadav for the future of Jubilee Hills. We will show what true development means.”
