Two Interstate Smugglers Arrested
The arrested accused were identified as:
- Nabhin Sabar
- Sudhkar Mandal
Both belong to Gajapati district of Odisha and were allegedly part of a drug trafficking network.
Officials revealed that the gang used Hyderabad as a transit point to distribute ganja to other states.
164 Kg Ganja and Car Seized
During the operation, police seized:
- 164 kilograms of ganja
- One Kia car used for transportation
The seizure was made by Abdullapurmet police along with the Malkajgiri SOT team during routine vehicle checks near the Outer Ring Road (ORR).
Supply Route From Odisha to Other States
According to investigators, the accused:
- Brought ganja from Odisha
- Transported it through Hyderabad
- Supplied it to Karnataka and Maharashtra
The gang reportedly used a car to avoid suspicion until reaching the ORR.
Police Statement
Officials confirmed that the arrests were made after suspicious movement was noticed during vehicle inspection. Further investigation is underway to identify other members of the network.
