Hyderabad: Air travel from Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad has been severely affected due to the escalating military conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel, which has heightened tensions across the Middle East.
According to airport authorities, a total of 31 flights connecting Hyderabad with several Gulf countries have been cancelled because of the ongoing war-like situation and growing security concerns in the region. Among the cancelled services, 16 flights were scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad from Gulf destinations, while 15 flights were supposed to depart from Hyderabad to countries including Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
Officials said that flight operations have been disrupted as many airlines consider it unsafe to operate through conflict-affected airspace. The situation has caused anxiety among passengers, particularly those planning to travel to Gulf countries for work or family reasons.
A day earlier, nearly 33 flights were also impacted due to the same circumstances, further highlighting the continued disruption in air travel.

Airlines and airport authorities stated that they are closely monitoring the situation and are informing passengers in advance about flight cancellations to minimize inconvenience. Travelers have been advised to check with their respective airlines for the latest updates before heading to the airport.
