Munsif News 24×7 | Shamshabad: A tragic road accident in Shamshabad has once again raised serious concerns over overspeeding and drunk driving, after an Innova car rammed into a family selling sweaters on the roadside, killing a young man on the spot and leaving others critically injured.

Accident in Mailardevpally Police Station Limits
The incident took place under the Mailardevpally Police Station limits of the Rajendranagar Circle in Greater Hyderabad.
According to initial reports, an overspeeding Innova car suddenly lost control and crashed into a family sitting by the roadside selling sweaters to earn their livelihood.
One Killed, Family Members Seriously Injured
The impact of the collision was devastating.
Deepak (25) died on the spot due to severe injuries.
Other family members sustained serious injuries:
- Prabhu Maharaj (60) – critically injured
- Satyanath (27) – critically injured
- Two others – condition reported to be serious
Local residents rushed to the scene and immediately shifted the injured to a private hospital for emergency treatment.
Accident Occurred at Durga Nagar Chourasta
The fatal crash occurred near Durga Nagar Chourasta, where the Innova reportedly came at very high speed and hit the family without warning.
Eyewitnesses said the force of the impact threw victims several feet away, causing panic and chaos at the spot.
Locals Catch Accused, Others Absconding
After the accident:
- Three persons travelling in the Innova were caught by local residents
- They were handed over to Mailardevpally police
- Three other occupants fled the scene and are currently absconding
The Innova vehicle bearing registration number AP 09 BP 9444 has been taken into custody.
Police Probe Angle of Drunk Driving
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
Officials are probing whether the accused were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
Further action will be taken after medical and forensic reports.
