Under the care of Dr. C.H. Naveen Kumar, Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist and Robotic Surgeon, the patient underwent a highly complex laparoscopic surgery to remove the tumor. Dr. Naveen Kumar explained, “Surgical removal of pancreatic tumors is extremely challenging because of the pancreas’ delicate structure. Using a fully laparoscopic approach, we made small incisions and successfully removed the tumor with the help of intraoperative ultrasound and advanced technologies.”

He further added, “The tumor was very small, which made precise localization essential. The surgery was completed without any complications, and the patient recovered well, being discharged after six days.” The anaesthesia team was led by Dr. Veerbhadra Rao.

The successful operation highlights KIMS Kondapur Hospital’s expertise in handling rare and complex pancreatic conditions using minimally invasive techniques. The hospital is considered one of the leading centers for robotic and laparoscopic hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgeries, treating both benign and malignant conditions across the twin states.

This case underscores the growing role of advanced surgical technology in treating rare and life-threatening conditions with improved patient outcomes.
