Hyderabad: In a tragic road accident in Musarambagh, a couple was killed on the spot after an RTC bus collided with their scooty in the early hours of Friday. The incident has once again raised concerns over road safety in busy city areas.

The accident occurred in the Musarambagh area of Hyderabad, when a speeding bus rammed into a two-wheeler, leaving no chance of survival for the victims.

RTC Bus from Dilsukhnagar Depot Involved

According to police, the scooty was hit by a bus belonging to the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation from the Dilsukhnagar depot.

  • Both riders suffered severe head injuries
  • Death occurred on the spot

Local residents rushed to the spot, but the couple had already succumbed to injuries.

Victims Identified as Tirupathi Rao and Venkatamma

The deceased were identified as:

  • Tirupathi Rao
  • Venkatamma

The couple had come to Hyderabad from Suryapet to visit their daughter, who lives in the Malakpet area.

On Thursday night, they went out on their scooty, during which the fatal accident occurred.

Police Register Case, Probe Underway

Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and shifted the bodies for post-mortem examination.
