Telangana Board of Intermediate Education will send Inter exam 2026 hall tickets directly to parents’ WhatsApp numbers, introducing e-hall ticket preview for transparency.

Hyderabad: In a major step towards digital transparency, the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has announced an important update for Intermediate students appearing for the 2026 annual examinations. As part of a new initiative, exam hall tickets will now be sent directly to parents registered WhatsApp numbers, making the process easier, faster, and more transparent.

The decision is aimed at reducing errors, avoiding last-minute confusion, and ensuring that parents are fully informed about their child’s examination details.

WhatsApp Hall Tickets to Improve Transparency

According to the Education Department, the Board has introduced an e-hall ticket preview facility for Intermediate examinations 2026.

Key features of the new system:

  • Hall ticket download link sent directly to parents’ WhatsApp numbers
  • Students and parents can preview hall ticket details in advance
  • Helps identify and correct errors before exams begin
  • Reduces dependency on colleges for physical hall tickets

Officials said this move will significantly improve coordination between students, parents, and colleges.

The Board has clarified the process for both first-year and second-year students.

For Intermediate First Year Students:

The preview hall ticket (Mini Memo) for second-year students will include additional academic details.

Details shown in the mini memo:

  • First-year marks
  • Information on failed subjects (if any)
  • Complete exam schedule for 2026

This ensures parents are fully aware of the student’s academic status before the examinations.

How to Correct Errors in Hall Ticket Details

If students or parents notice any mistakes in the hall ticket, they are advised to act immediately.

Errors that can be corrected include:

  • Name
  • Photograph

For corrections, students or parents should contact:

  • The principal of the concerned college, or
  • The District Intermediate Education Officer

Timely corrections will help avoid problems during the examination.

Board Confident of Digital Success

The Controller of Examinations expressed confidence that the new WhatsApp-based system will be highly effective, noting that most families now have access to smartphones.

Officials believe this initiative will streamline communication, reduce stress for students, and mark a significant digital shift in Telangana’s examination system.
