According to preliminary investigation details, the child and his mother were travelling on a scooty when the accident occurred:
- The child’s mother was trying to overtake an army truck near RK Puram Flyover
- Due to sand on the road, the scooty lost balance and slipped
- Both the mother and child fell onto the road
- Within moments, the army truck coming from behind moved forward
- The truck driver had no chance to stop immediately
- The front tyre of the army truck ran over the child, causing fatal injuries
The driver reportedly stopped the vehicle as soon as possible, but by then it was too late to save the child.
Condition of the Mother
- The child’s mother sustained serious injuries
- She was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital
- Doctors are providing treatment, and her condition is being monitored
