Free Medical Camp for Persons with Disabilities Held in Lalapet, Over 100 Benefited

A free medical camp for persons with disabilities was successfully organised on January 21, 2026, at Professor Jayashankar Stadium, under the Secunderabad limits. The camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 100 persons with disabilities availing medical services throughout the day.

The health camp was jointly organised by Blue Foundation and Bharat Vikas Parishad, aiming to improve access to essential healthcare for the disabled community.

Wide Range of Medical Services Offered

Doctors and medical staff provided comprehensive check-ups from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, focusing on the early detection and prevention of non-communicable diseases.

The services included:

• Diabetes screening
• Blood pressure checks
• Heart-related examinations
• Eye check-ups
• Dental examinations

Organisers said the camp was designed to address common health issues while promoting preventive healthcare among persons with disabilities.

Focus on Assistive Devices and Inclusive Healthcare

In addition to medical examinations, the organisers highlighted efforts to facilitate access to assistive devices, including:

• Walkers
• Walking sticks
• Wheelchairs
• Hearing aids

They said such initiatives help improve mobility, independence, and quality of life for persons with disabilities.

Speaking on the occasion, the organisers described the participation of more than 100 persons with disabilities as highly encouraging. They said the camp marked an important step towards inclusive and accessible healthcare in Hyderabad.
