After a detailed field inspection and boundary verification by the district survey authorities, HYDRAA fenced the land and removed recent encroachments, excluding areas where houses had already been constructed earlier.
Survey Confirms Land as Government Property
Officials stated that the District Survey Officer clearly identified Survey No. 66 as government land and marked its boundaries before HYDRAA carried out protective measures.
According to records:
- The total extent of land is 6.12 acres
- The land was officially classified as government property
- HYDRAA acted only after formal verification and demarcation
Illegal Encroachments and Mango Orchard on Public Land
Investigations revealed that:
- Around 3 acres of the government land were encroached upon and converted into a mango orchard
- The remaining land was targeted for illegal plotting and sale
Authorities said Nallamalla Reddy had applied in 2009 seeking allocation of the same government land for educational institutions, but despite this, the land remained under illegal occupation.
Plots Sold by Showing Private Survey Numbers
HYDRAA has evidence that members of the Hanumanth Reddy family illegally entered government land in Survey No. 66 by misrepresenting private Survey Nos. 62 and 63.
Key findings include:
- Government land shown as part of Divyanagar Layout
- Nearly 50 plots sold to unsuspecting buyers
- Buyers misled into believing the land was private
Police Case Registered Over Government Land Encroachment
HYDRAA has lodged a complaint at Medipally Police Station regarding the encroachment of government land.
A criminal case (Crime No. 94 of 2026) has been registered against:
- Nallamalla Reddy
- Hanumanth Reddy family members
The case has been booked under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act (PDPP Act).
Earlier Notices and Repeated Violations
Officials revealed that:
- Notices were issued as early as 2010 by the Ghatkesar Mandal Revenue Officer
- A survey committee had earlier confirmed the land as government property
- Despite repeated warnings, encroachments continued
Only after the Assistant Director of Survey team re-verified the boundaries on Monday did HYDRAA proceed with fencing and enforcement action.
Past Actions Against Divyanagar Layout Encroachments
HYDRAA had previously taken action against irregularities in the Divyanagar Layout, spread over more than 200 acres.
During earlier operations:
- Illegal compound walls were removed
- Access roads and parks were restored
- 2,218 plot owners were provided clear road access
- Free and fair sale and purchase of plots was enabled
Residents had welcomed those actions, stating that HYDRAA’s intervention improved land value and transparency.
HYDRAA Rejects Attempts to Mislead Victims
HYDRAA officials alleged that attempts are being made to mislead victims who purchased plots on government land, including organising press meetings to portray enforcement action negatively.
Officials clarified that many affected buyers are Singareni workers, and the agency is committed to protecting public land while ensuring legal remedies are followed.
Firm Stand Against Government Land Encroachments
HYDRAA reiterated that encroachments on government and forest lands will not be tolerated, and strict action will continue against individuals attempting to misuse public land or obstruct enforcement.
