Hyderabad: A major fire accident at a furniture shop in the Nampally area of Hyderabad on Saturday caused severe traffic disruption and panic in the surrounding localities. The blaze broke out on the busy stretch connecting GPO, Abids to Nampally Railway Station, prompting immediate emergency response and traffic restrictions.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, issued a traffic advisory urging commuters to avoid the affected stretch. “Traffic congestion is expected due to the fire accident. Commuters are advised to take the route from GPO, Abids towards MJ Market to avoid delays. Please plan your travel accordingly and cooperate with emergency services,” the Commissioner said.
Police officials also appealed to the public to postpone visits to the ongoing exhibition in the Nampally area for the day, citing safety concerns and traffic disruptions caused by the fire incident.
