The action was taken as part of an intensified fire safety drive following recent fire incidents in the city.

Officials found that the Bantia Furniture and other showrooms was operating without complying with mandatory fire safety norms, posing a major risk to customers, staff, and nearby properties.

During the inspection, authorities observed:

  • Storage of materials in the cellar, increasing fire risk
  • Absence of fire extinguishers
  • No smoke detectors or alarm systems
  • Lack of automatic water sprinklers
  • Fire Safety NOC not available
  • Building permissions not in order

Joint Inspection by Multiple Departments

  • HYDRAA

  • Fire Department
  • Electricity Department
