Protest at Sammakka–Saralamma Jathara
On Thursday night, Kaushik Reddy and his family staged a protest at the Sammakka–Saralamma Jathara in Veenavanka, alleging that Dalit Sarpanch Saroja was denied the right to break a coconut during the festival. The MLA said he would approach the SC/ST Commission over the alleged insult. Police later removed Kaushik Reddy and his wife from the premises following a scuffle, citing inconvenience to devotees.
